Olivia Holm-Møller's Letters
About the archive
All the letters in Olivia Holm-Møller’s letter archive are kept at Holstebro Kunstmuseum [Holstebro Art Museum]. Most of the letters came to Holstebro in 1981, when a large collection of Holm-Møller’s works and archival materials was transferred from Museet Holmen [Holmen Museum] in Løgumkloster, to which the artist had donated the materials, to the Jens Nielsen and Olivia Holm-Møller Museum, which later became part of Holstebro Kunstmuseum. Since then, smaller collections of letters have been added by private donors. Holm-Møller’s letters to the artist Carla Colsmann were handed over to the museum in 1984 by Colsmann’s stepdaughter Karen Koch and her husband, Terkel Koch. The couple also contributed valuable information, including about Sophie Pedersen’s nickname, ‘Peder’. Holm-Møller’s letters to Elise, Thora and Signe Konstantin-Hansen were donated to the museum in 2010 by their niece Karen Pedersen, and the letters to Hother Garde were given to the museum in 1993 by his wife, Paula Garde.
